How We List Clinics

QuickCare Finder is a non-recommending directory. Listings are generated by a non-discretionary algorithm — not editorial judgment.

What QuickCare Finder is

QuickCare Finder is an online directory of 262 urgent care clinics across 105 cities in the United States. We help patients find walk-in care near them and see real-time hours, services, and contact information.

We are not a medical provider, not a healthcare referral service, and not a covered entity under HIPAA. We do not diagnose, treat, or recommend specific providers for specific patients.

How clinics get listed

Clinic listings are sourced from publicly available data, including Google Places, state and local health-department licensing records, and clinic websites. Any clinic that operates as an urgent care center in a city we cover is eligible to appear in the directory.

Clinic owners may also claim or update their listing to correct hours, services, or contact information. Claiming a listing does not change its position in search results.

How we sort results

Search results are ordered by a non-discretionary algorithm. The algorithm uses the following inputs only, applied uniformly to every clinic:

  • Geographic distance from the user's search location
  • Whether the clinic is currently open (based on its published hours)
  • Listed services matching the user's query (e.g. X-ray, COVID testing)
  • Verification status (whether the clinic has confirmed its listing details)

We do notrank clinics by editorial judgment, by patient outcomes, by clinical quality scores, or by any "best of" criteria. We do not match specific patients with specific providers.

Sponsored listings

Some clinics pay for a Sponsoredplacement. Sponsored clinics appear in clearly labeled sections of the site (marked "Sponsored") and may also appear with a Sponsored badge in search results.

Sponsored placement is availability-based, not selection-based: any qualifying clinic in a covered area can purchase a sponsored slot at the published rate. We do not use clinical judgment to choose which clinics are "the best" and offer sponsorship only to those.

Sponsorship does not affect the algorithmic sort applied to non-sponsored results. Non-sponsored clinics are listed alongside sponsored clinics for every relevant query.

Per-lead compensation

When a user submits a contact or appointment-request form on this site, we may forward that inquiry to the clinic the user selected and bill the clinic a flat, published per-lead fee. The fee is the same for every clinic that opts into lead forwarding — it does not vary based on the patient, the urgency, the visit reason, or the expected revenue from any specific case.

We do not receive a percentage of the patient's bill, a referral fee tied to services rendered, or any compensation contingent on the patient receiving care. Per-federal Anti-Kickback safe-harbor framing for non-recommending internet directories: payment is for the listing service, not for the patient.

What we don't do

  • We do not give medical advice or triage symptoms.
  • We do not recommend one clinic over another for a specific patient or condition.
  • We do not collect or store protected health information (PHI).
  • We do not sell patient information to third parties unrelated to the patient's inquiry.
  • We do not accept compensation contingent on a patient actually visiting a clinic or receiving care.

Data accuracy

We refresh clinic data periodically from public sources. Hours, services, and insurance acceptance can change without notice. Always call the clinic before visiting to confirm current hours and whether they accept your insurance.
